Skin rejuvenation
UltraClear™ brings ophthalmic precision to the skin.
The UltraClear™ is a fractional cold laser: skin renewal without thermal damage, without weeks of standstill — and without a result that looks treated. At Sehklinik it is used where aesthetics and eye medicine meet: on the sensitive eye area, on the face, on the neck and décolleté — with a clear indication rather than enthusiasm for equipment.
Cold rather than hot: the difference that matters
Laser skin renewal works by prompting the skin to regenerate: microscopically fine channels set repair and collagen formation in motion. Classical CO2 lasers create those channels with heat — effective, but the warmth also stresses the surrounding tissue: hence redness, crusting, one to two weeks of downtime and the risk of pigment shifts.
The UltraClear™ works at a wavelength that removes skin with virtually no thermal side effect — hence 'cold laser'. What remains is the effect: finer skin texture, shallower lines, a fresher complexion. What falls away is the price for it: recovery time shrinks, depending on the programme, to hours or a few days.
What we use the UltraClear™ for
- The eye area:Crêpey lines, crow's feet, tired-looking skin — the zone we are at home in. Often as an addition after an eyelid lift.
- Face, neck, décolleté:Sun damage, uneven complexion, enlarged pores, fine lines.
- Individual findings:Scars, individual deeper lines — targeted and measured.
How your treatment works
Skin analysis & an honest picture of the aim
What can the laser achieve with your skin — and what not? We set out the programme, the number of sessions and the costs in writing before anything begins.
The treatment: 20–45 minutes
After anaesthetic cream we treat the areas agreed; your eyes are properly protected throughout. You feel warmth and a tingling, not pain.
Afterwards
Redness like sunburn, hours to a few days depending on the intensity. Consistent UV protection is part of it — we would rather say that twice.
Result
The skin renews itself over weeks; the fresh impression builds with each session. Naturally — nobody should ask 'what you have had done', but whether you have been on holiday.
Medical precision in a sensitive area
Why the eye area in particular belongs in ophthalmic hands
Laser skin renewal has its greatest effect where the skin is thinnest: around the eyes. That is also where the greatest respect is called for. As a clinic specialising in eye surgery we know the anatomy behind every millimetre treated — and we protect your eyes during treatment the way an eye clinic does. That medical foundation is what separates a specialist-led laser treatment from a cosmetic application. Where this one procedure sits among the others, and what it cannot do for the skin, is set out a level up: the overview of skin rejuvenation around the eye — what it does and where it stops.
Costs & health insurance
What does the insurer pay for — and what not?

Frequently asked questions
- The heat — or rather its absence. Classical ablative lasers renew the skin through controlled heat damage: effective, but with redness, crusting and often one to two weeks of downtime. The UltraClear™ is a fractional cold laser: it removes skin precisely without putting the surrounding tissue under thermal stress. The result: markedly shorter recovery, less risk of pigment shifts — and the possibility of treating the sensitive eye area too.
- That depends on the aim. A gentle freshening treatment (a 'laser facial') shows after one session; for reducing lines and improving texture, two to four sessions a few weeks apart usually make sense. Deeper renewal achieves more per session but needs a few days of recovery. We discuss honestly which schedule reaches your aim — and what it costs, before you begin.
- You feel warmth and a tingling; sensitive zones we numb with cream beforehand. Afterwards the skin is red for hours to a few days depending on the intensity — comparable to sunburn. At gentle settings many people are presentable the next day. We promise 'no downtime' only where it is true: with the superficial programmes.
- Suitable for fine lines (particularly around the eyes and mouth), sun damage, uneven skin, enlarged pores and individual scars — including skin types that are tricky for classical lasers. Not suitable with acute skin inflammation, a fresh tan, or unrealistic expectations: a laser replaces neither a facelift nor an eyelid lift. If the latter is the more honest answer, we say so.
- First, because of the eye area: it is the zone with the greatest rejuvenating effect — and the greatest need for respect. We operate on it every day and know what the eye behind it tolerates; your eyes are properly protected during treatment. Second, because of the attitude: you are treated by doctors, not by a beauty salon.
- That depends on the area, the intensity and the number of sessions. After the consultation you receive a written cost breakdown for your personal treatment schedule — we do not begin before that. UltraClear™ treatments are self-pay.
Fresh skin begins with an honest assessment.
At the consultation we analyse your skin, show you what the cold laser can achieve — and what it cannot — and set out the schedule and the costs in writing before you decide.
